Dr. Alex von Frankenberg

Managing Director - High-Tech Gründerfonds

Dr. Alex von Frankenberg is Managing Director of the High-Tech Grün- derfonds, responsible for hardware and software investments. Before taking that position in October 2005 he was responsible for spin-offs as Venture Manager at the Siemens Technology Accelerator (STA).

Before joining the STA in April 2002 Alex was head of sales and

marketing of an IT start-up. Prior to that he headed the Innovation Practice at Siemens Management Consulting.

He started his career designing and implementing large IT systems with Andersen Consulting. Alex holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin (1992) and a PhD about the establishment of de-facto techology standards from the University of Mannheim (1997).

Aya Jaff

Founder and CEO - CoDesign Factory

Aya Jaff, born in Iraq, is the founder and CEO of CoDesign Factory GmbH. With fellow CoDesigners (startup experts, social media influ- encers and famous founders in the German tech scene) she's innovating products, services and business models. She's worked as a coder for various startups and bigger companies in Silicon Valley, Madrid and Hamburg.

Aya Jaff has been dubbed "Mrs. Code" by the national newspaper DIE ZEIT and was on the cover of the leading tech and startup magazine t3n as one of the "20 under 20 digital pioneers

Rosa Riera

VP, Employer Branding and Social Innovation - Siemens

Rosa Riera serves as VP, Employer Branding and Social Innovation, at Siemens AG. She is currently overseeing the transformation of the Siemens employer brand. She is passionate about innovative solutions for collaboration in the workplace. Rosa believes that creating the right conditions for talent to thrive will become an ever more press- ing concern for ambitious businesses which is why she is focusing on experience design. She sees herself as an HR immigrant, having started her career in communications and marketing and moving into the HR field only recently.

Rosa has worked in Siemens’ industry and healthcare segments at vari- ous locations in Germany and the United States.

Coskun Tuna

Co-founder and Managing Director of Seeding Alliance GmbH

Coskun Tuna is co-founder and managing director of Seeding Alliance GmbH. The company is regarded as a pioneer in native advertising in Germany. By 2013, the company had already begun to develop a technolo- gy for native advertising formats, which have since been successfully marketed on more than 650 media. The Seeding Alliance has been part of the Ströer Group since March 2017.

Coskun Tuna, also simply called Josh, started his career as an en- trepreneur in 1999, after he had just quit his job as a police officer and founded Mitfahrzentrale.de together with a colleague. To date, Josh has founded seven companies and participates as a business angel in start-ups.

Dr. Daniel Englberger

Group Chief Transformation Officer - Zurich Financial Services

Daniel Englberger (born 1971) has been Group Chief Transformation Officer since mid-2016, responsible for the implementation of the transformation strategy and heads the Group's business and IT architecture.

In 2011 he took on a global role as Head of the Group Project Man- agement Office (PMO). In his role as Head of Global Business Ser- vices, which he took on in July 2012, Daniel led the Finance Opera- tions, CRE & FM, Group Security and Print & Document Management di- visions in North America. Daniel Englberger has over 20 years of ex- perience in the insurance industry and previously worked for Accen- ture as a partner in the insurance practice. Here he delivered a se- ries of strategy, process and IT implementation programmes. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration and a doctorate in economics.

Dennis von Ferenczy

Founder and Investor

Dennis von Ferenczy is the founder of the series and a business an- gel. In 2006, he founded amiando GmbH (now Xing Events GmbH), where he was in charge of marketing and strategy until he left in 2012. In 2013 he founded IDnow GmbH (www.idnow.de), which he actively supports today as a member of the advisory board. In his recent set-up Designy GmbH, he has advised over 1,000 start-ups in the fundraising process with the UnicornPitch brand (unicornpitch.com/de). For over 10 years he has supported start-ups as a business angel and holds interests in over 25 start-ups. For his activities, he was named a Technology Pio- neer by the World Economic Forum in 2010 and by Ernst & Young as En- trepreneur of the Year finalist.

Stefan Flinspach

Managing Director - Seedmatch GmbH

Stefan Flinspach is Managing Director of Seedmatch, Germany's first crowd-funding platform. Since its launch in August 2011, Seedmatch has already provided over 100 successful financing rounds and over 33 million Euro for start-ups and young growth companies.

2013 saw the establishment of Econeer, a crowd-funding platform for green projects and technologies, as a complement. Since then, more than seven million Euro has been invested in the expansion of energy efficiency and renewable energies. In addition, 15,000 tonnes of harmful CO2 emissions were prevented. Since 2015, Mezzany has com- pleted the portfolio of swarm-based investment opportunities with crowd-financing of real estate projects.

Arno Held

Director Business Development - AM Ventures Holding GmbH

Arno Held is an industrial engineer and studied in Karlsruhe, Shang- hai and St. Gallen. With over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering and laser applications, he has been helping start-ups make a successful entry into industrial 3D printing since 2009. Arno spent 7 years in the Strategy and Business Development department at EOS, the world market leader in industrial 3D printing, and has led the investment team at AM Ventures Holding GmbH (AMV), the world's leading strategic 3D printing investor, since 2015. Today AMV has a portfolio of 18 holdings in 7 countries and offers unique access to financing, technology and expertise for industry-specific start-ups in the fields of hardware, software, materials and applications.

Ravi Kurani

Associate - Earlybird Venture Capital

Ravi Kurani has been part of the investment team at Earlybird Ven- ture Capital in Munich since 2016. In his role, he evaluates invest- ments in technology start-ups, especially in his focus areas Fin- Tech / InsurTech and Blockchain, and is a regular speaker at tech- nology conferences. Prior to working at Earlybird, he worked as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group, focusing on financial institutions and private equity.

Ravi Kurani holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the TU Braunschweig and a Master of Engineering Management from Duke University.

Christian Lindener

CEO - Wayra

Christian Lindener was born in Brazil and grew up in Mexico. He studied International Business in Innsbruck and Barcelona. Christian himself founded a hardware and AR start-up, built up several incuba- tors and accelerators as a tech consultant and played a major role in developing 56 high-tech start-ups as Director of TechFounders. He is co-founder of the InsurTech Hub and has been a member of the Ad- visory Board of the Federal Association of German Start-ups since September 2017.

Bianca Praetorius

Pitch Coach

Binca Praetorius is start up pitch coach and public speaking train- er. Since 2012 she has trained 500+ pitches for start-ups throughout Europe and the MENA region. She coached the teams for Telekom Hub:raum, StartupBootcamp, Bayer Pharma Grants4Apps, Infoshare Gdan- sk, General Assembly London, Hardware.co, EIT Digital & Climate KIC, Sheraa Sharjah / UAE, RiseUp Cairo, Startup Haus Tunis and Google Launchpad. She is a proud member of sandbox.is and hosts the TEDx- Heidelberg & TEDxMannheim. Bianca is co-founder of theredlab.com and co-editor of "Die Lean Back Perspektive", a book about female lead- ership published by Springer Gabler in October 2016. Bianca lives in Berlin and has a weakness for trees, robots & crème brûlée.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Prasch

Professor for Procurement and Process Management

Martin Prasch has been Professor of Procurement and Process Manage- ment at Landshut University of Applied Sciences and an independent consultant since March 2017. Previously, he was Vice President Glob- al Operations of the listed Amer Sports Corporation, based in Hel- sinki. Amer Sports is a world-leading sports goods manufacturer with the well-known brands Wilson, Atomic, Salomon, Mavic, Suunto, Precor and Arcteryx. From 2007 to May 2011 he held various management posi- tions and was authorised signatory at the medium-sized electrical tool manufacturer Metabo in Nürtingen.

Kurt Skupin

CEO - WEKA Media Group  Munich

Since 2014 Kurt Skupin has been responsible as CEO for the WEKA Media Group Munich, which serves a wide variety of BtoB and BtoC target groups cross-media with seven companies.

After completing his business administration studies in Rosenheim, Van- couver and London with an MBA, his first professional stations were BMW AG and the management consultancy Roland Berger. In 1993 K. Skupin moved to the media industry to the then Magna Media AG. As publishing house manager, he guided their sale to WEKA in 1996 and subsequently became part of the management team that formed the WEKA Magazine Group (since 2007 WEKA Media Group Munich). In the following years, the media group was expanded from three to seven companies at five locations un- der his significant leadership.

Martin Vesper

CEO - digitalSTROM AG

After studying business mathematics at the University of Ulm and an MBA at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Martin Vesper began his professional career at Ameritech Services in the USA. Since his return to Germany, he has held various management positions at both technical and sales levels, including at Vorwerk, where he was re- sponsible for sales, controlling and customer service. In 2001 he moved to the top of Yello Strom GmbH in order to expand and consoli- date the Yello brand as a customer-focused company in the liber- alised energy market. In addition, Vesper was divisional director of B2C operations at EnBW Energie Baden- Württemberg AG and headed the business network "Private and Commercial Customers" of EdF (Elec- tricité de France, Paris). Martin Vesper has been Chief Executive Officer of digitalSTROM AG since September 2011.
